As for people's homophobic, judgemental, cruddy comments, my sense is that those commenters are just trolls with issues. You can see by home many like/don't like scores they got that your story has been really positively received. And in my experience any media story with a stepmom featured anywhere in it is likely to be slammed hard. I really enjoyed reading about you guys.
