FAMILY PHOTO ALBUMS
No CommentsEva and Cheryl have been holed up in the art studio for the last couple of weeks working on a secret project. It turns out they were working on a combined family photo album. Paul and I missed the boat on the whole Creative Memory movement so our photos are all stuffed into a big, giant tub. The girls sifted through the mess and found photos of everyone from when they were babies to now, and organized them in a scrapbook titled: Family Photo Scrapbook by Eva and Cheryl.
This is very significant in the blended family bonding world because these children were not raised together from birth. Cheryl and Eva were 7 and 8 when they met, yet they have their baby pictures side by side on the same page. They included all the aunts, uncles and cousins too. There’s even a really dorky picture of me from 5th grade. In some form, this is their way of turning back time, of preserving memories that happened in tandem in two separate households and combining them into one family’s keepsake scrapbook.
