VIVA LAS VEGAS
No CommentsPaul and I are on a business/pleasure trip in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, UT. I have never been to either place and I am having the time of my life. I am so grateful that Paul and I have this much needed time to travel alone, without kids, to focus on our business and each other. I marvel at the limitless opportunities we have experienced since we got married and started our business. We are meeting interesting people, visiting fascinating places and developing our great potential. It is a great place to be.
We started off the trip in Vegas at the Convention Center to attend the International Builder’s Show. We wanted to scope it out because we may exhibit there next year and we also wanted to meet with several of our suppliers. The focus, not surprisingly, was Green and Solar. We talked with several solar panel suppliers who all knew of Paul and were very anxious to talk to him because of his reputation for his knowledge and expertise. I was amazed and very gratified to see that Paul is very highly regarded as an expert in his field. This makes me feel very confident that we are in the right business and poised to take off. As Marketing Director for our company I plan to promote Paul’s knowledge so that I can position him as an expert in his field.
After our first day of walking the trade show we were exhausted, but still up for some fun so we went shopping and Paul bought me the most beautiful dress. I needed something sexy and glamorous because one of our suppliers was taking us out to dinner at a very upscale restaurant. Paul picked out this gorgeous free-flowing purple halter ruffled number that looked great on me. This was a first for me. I had never had a man pick out and buy me a dress before. I have to say it was a very fun experience that I would definitely do again. Paul complimented me all evening, tellling me how beautiful I was and pledged to take me to other events where I could wear the dress again.
After Vegas, we flew to Salt Lake to meet up with some friends and business associates of ours, Russ and Mary, to whom we subcontract some engineering work. Mary and Paul both ski so Russ and I hung out together. We met them at the ski lodge for lunch. It is so beautiful here. Last night we had dinner in Park City. It was the last night of the Sundance Film Festival. We are heading back there today to do some sightseeing, some celebrity sighting, and then head home. Sophia called to say she missed me. I miss her too. The kids all have off from school tomorrow so I will work half a day and then take them out for some fun.
